Groove Station
Groove Station is a Top Latin fusion and Latin jazz band led by Colombian vocalist & songwriter Norma Medina and Brazilian guitarist and composer Fabio Moreira.
Norma & Fabio have a vast experience in the music industry having learnt, played, performed, taught and touring for many years around the world. The first time the pair visited Taiwan was in 2013 until 2015 invited by a Taiwanese recording company. And their second visit was in 2018 where Fabio released his first Instrumental Album ‘FISON’, currently working on a second Album called‘My Roots’ Latin fusion tunes with Norma as songwriter, They decided to settle indefinitely in the Island they call their second home.
At the end of 2018 Norma and Fabio created GROOVE STATION band, inviting High level musicians that resides in Taiwan to join them. Together they perform covers and original tunes composed by their leaders at TV Music Shows as 人與琴的對話 Channel 37 and at 大聲My客風 , International Music Festivals : Taipei Jazz Festival 2020 & 2021, World Music Festival 2020 (Hsinchu citu) & 2021 (Taipei City) and at Well known Venues as SMEXY, Sappho Live Jazz, BEAU, Yuppy Book Store, China Pa, Corner House, Pure Wine & Jazz House, having as influence Gilberto Gil, Buena Vista Social Club, Djavan, Elis Regina, Juan Luis Guerra, Ed Motta, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Maria Rita, just to name a few, highlighting their Latin roots with a strong fusion of Funk, Rock, Jazz, and Traditional Latin Music.
